Trypillian, a defense technology startup with British-Ukrainian roots, has raised $5 million to advance its new long-range autonomous strike drone, the Trypillian SSG. The initiative, endorsed by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, highlights Ukraine’s push to adopt next-generation unmanned capabilities to counter Russian forces. The Trypillian SSG is engineered to function independently of satellite navigation, granting it survivability against sophisticated jamming tactics. Founded in 2024, the company joined the Diia City program, a state-backed framework that provides favorable tax regimes and security for proprietary technologies. The drone’s mission will focus on weakening air defense systems while offering a flexible, autonomous strike option for Ukrainian forces.
