The U.S. will provide the Romanian Naval Forces with MQ-35A V-BAT vertical takeoff and landing unmanned aerial vehicles. The service will get two V-BAT systems, each comprising four drones. The transaction, which is expected to be worth about $30 million, will be conducted through a government-to-government agreement. The acquisition is a component of the Romanian Navy’s larger procurement program, which also covers multifunctional wheeled platforms, maritime patrol boats, and man-portable anti-aircraft systems.
