Textron Systems has unveiled a fifth-generation Multi-Mission Unmanned Surface Vessel (MMUSV), expanding the capabilities of its autonomous naval fleet with greater payload, extended range, and broader mission applicability.
Built on Textron’s common unmanned surface vehicle (CUSV) platform, the new vessel carries approximately 5,900 kilograms (13,000 pounds), roughly twice the payload of earlier designs.
The enhanced capacity, coupled with higher endurance and operational reach, enables the vessel to undertake surface warfare, mine countermeasure, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and signals intelligence missions.
