Sweden has become the first European customer for Textron Systems’ RIPSAW M3, a modular robotic ground vehicle optimized for high-mobility missions and autonomous system integration. The M3 features a hybrid-electric powertrain, composite rubber tracks, and high ground clearance for rough terrain. Weighing 14,800 pounds (6,711 kilograms), it carries payloads up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kilograms) and supplies 10 kilowatts of onboard power for sensors and weapon systems. Its 63-square-foot modular deck supports rapid installation of mission-specific payloads, supported by a 48-inch deck height. Designed for roles such as reconnaissance and light combat support, the vehicle measures 206 by 80 inches (5.23 by 2.03 meters) and can exceed speeds of 30 miles (48 kilometers) per hour. In March, it was selected for the US Army’s Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) program, confirming its growing role in next-generation unmanned ground operations.
