The Ghost Commander II, South Korea’s newly introduced carrier concept, is designed to execute complex missions using both manned and unmanned systems in unison.
Developed by Hanwha Ocean, the concept vessel will handle a combination of crewed aircraft and drones operating in the air, on the surface, and under the sea.
Lead engineer Jeon Seoungbaem said its structural elements resemble China’s Type 076, aligning with the platform’s surveillance and seaborne monitoring purpose.
