India has introduced the rugged SapperScout Ver 2.0, a domestically developed unmanned ground vehicle built to take over hazardous frontline tasks. The 380-kilogram platform employs advanced sensors, ultrasonic detectors, and AI-driven controls to autonomously navigate obstacles, execute planned routes, and support missions traditionally requiring soldiers to operate in high-risk zones. Designed as a multi-role battlefield teammate, the UGV improves operational safety by enabling remote handling of dangerous duties such as reconnaissance, route clearance, and threat detection.
