The Royal Air Force has partnered with General Atomics for a long-term agreement to maintain its Protector RG Mk1 drones, ensuring consistent fleet performance and readiness.
This United Kingdom Protector Availability and Support Solution (UK PASS) arrangement extends to simulator-based training and ground station systems. The initiative is part of a shared global structure, SGSS, that includes other MQ-9B customers such as Taiwan and India.
Through SGSS, resources such as personnel and logistics materials are distributed collaboratively, lowering maintenance expenses.
