The US Army has procured tactical mapping drones from EagleNXT via its German partner Dronivo GmbH, acquiring six eBee TAC unmanned systems equipped with advanced imaging sensors. Although the contract value was not disclosed, the package includes S.O.D.A. 3D cameras and Duet M sensors capable of capturing combined optical and multispectral imagery, supported by RTK/PPK positioning for centimeter-level accuracy. Designed for rapid deployment, the hand-launched eBee TAC weighs just 1.6 kilograms and can be airborne within three minutes, offering up to 90 minutes of endurance and a range of 55 kilometers. The system supports detailed mapping, 3D modeling, and situational awareness in remote or contested environments. Military applications include reconnaissance, border monitoring, operational planning, search and rescue, and training. The acquisition builds on earlier purchases of EagleNXT platforms used by the US Army in Europe.
