Draganfly has received a strategically significant order from a military customer in the Asia Pacific region for its Commander 3XL unmanned aerial system. The purchase, routed through a recognized defense contractor, includes encrypted AES-256 communications, a rugged ground control station, and multiple payload configurations for surveillance, intelligence, and logistics missions. Terms of the contract and customer identity remain undisclosed due to regulations.The agreement includes options for additional phases as the end user evaluates expanded deployment. The Commander 3XL is engineered for heavy-lift operations with a 10-kg payload capacity and modular design supporting thermal cameras, optical sensors, mapping units, and other mission-specific tools. It features foldable arms for portability and rotor performance suitable for light precipitation.The drone can reach speeds of 38 knots, fly for roughly 50 minutes, operate at altitudes near 2,438 meters, and cover more than 10 km depending on antenna configuration.
