In accordance with a deal struck in 2022, Bollinger Shipyards has given the US Navy the first mine countermeasures unmanned surface vehicles (MCM USVs). The initiative’s first three platforms, which were constructed at the company’s site in Lockport, Louisiana, are included in the package. Nine drone boats are being produced under the program, with the potential of adding up to 18 more systems based on operational needs.
