Australia has invested 176 million Australian dollars to expand its fleet of Bluebottle unmanned surface vessels built by Ocius Technology. The deal includes 40 additional vessels, increasing the total operational fleet to 55. Developed in collaboration with the Royal Australian Navy, the Bluebottle USV is designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Powered by renewable energy from solar, wind, and ocean waves, the vessel can remain deployed at sea for extended periods while operating quietly to monitor maritime environments.
