Anduril’s UK division has teamed with GKN Aerospace to support Project NYX, an ambitious British Army program focused on fielding highly autonomous, digitally enabled land platforms. Under the agreement, GKN will provide airframe structures and undertake electrical system integration, drawing on its industrial footprint—including the Isle of Wight facility. The partnership adds significant depth to a nationwide supply chain exceeding 100 companies, which collectively underpin tens of thousands of UK industrial jobs. Archer Aviation is also integrating its hybrid-propulsion and eVTOL design knowledge into the program to explore air-ground autonomous concepts. Additional contributors—ranging from propulsion specialists and sensor developers to micro-UAV innovators—reflect the growing breadth of the Project NYX technology ecosystem. This cooperative framework aims to accelerate development timelines and solidify the UK’s leadership in advanced autonomous land systems.
