The UAE’s EDGE Group and US-based Anduril have formed the EDGE-Anduril Production Alliance to jointly develop and manufacture advanced autonomous aerial platforms. Its first project, the Omen AAV, offers hover-to-cruise capability, long-range operations, and heavy-payload flexibility. The UAE has committed to an initial order of 50 aircraft to support large-scale local manufacturing. Anduril brings its autonomous mission-software technologies, while EDGE provides industrial capacity and regional operational experience. The partnership supports military, commercial, and humanitarian applications such as logistics transport, disaster relief, and communications support. It also strengthens ongoing UAE-US defense cooperation involving F-35s, Reapers, precision munitions, radar co-production, and joint exercises integrating American combat systems.
