Elbit Systems is advancing UAV propulsion by adopting Lowental Hybrid’s Native Parallel Hybrid technology, a system designed to combine electric and combustion power in a fully integrated architecture. The solution enables drones to transition between propulsion modes during flight, improving endurance, lowering noise, and enhancing operational flexibility without extensive redesign of existing platforms. According to the companies, early testing confirmed compatibility across multiple UAV types and compliance with NATO standards. The long-term agreement includes sustained engineering support and incremental capability upgrades, reflecting Elbit’s strategy to enhance unmanned endurance and survivability as demand grows for persistent, low-observable aerial intelligence platforms.
