The Latvian defense ministry has ordered Israeli-made Spike anti-tank weapons for the army and national guard forces.

The €81-million ($92.6 million) agreement includes support hardware and ammunition, with quantities undisclosed.

As part of the deal, Latvian industry will execute 30 percent of the work, promoting defense sector growth.

EuroSpike, based in Germany and jointly operated by Rheinmetall, Diehl, and Rafael, will coordinate delivery.

The systems will begin arriving in Latvia in 2028.
