The US Air Force has assigned the designation AGM-190A to Leidos’ Small Cruise Missile, confirming its entry as a recognized strike asset. Nicknamed “Black Arrow,” the 91-kilogram weapon is engineered for affordable long-range precision missions. It is driven by a Pratt & Whitney TJ150-7 engine, enabling subsonic cruise speeds and high-altitude performance. Designed with modular components and open software architecture, the missile can be adapted quickly to mission demands. Its validation included a launch from a C-130 aircraft achieving over 400 nautical miles of range.
