Taiwan is advancing the development of economical air defense systems to counter the growing use of inexpensive attack weapons by potential adversaries. The program focuses on introducing lower-cost interceptors capable of handling routine threats, allowing more advanced systems to be reserved for complex targets. Central to this effort is the T-Dome architecture, a multi-layered defense framework integrating various missile systems and radar networks. The initiative also emphasizes faster response times through improved sensor integration. With increased defense funding and ongoing procurement of advanced missile systems, Taiwan aims to build a resilient and adaptable air defense network capable of addressing evolving security challenges.
