Leveraging surplus military procurement funds, Taiwan has purchased over 100 Patriot PAC-3 MSE missiles to reinforce its air defense posture. Further acquisitions are planned under a major special defense allocation. The missiles will complement Taiwan’s indigenous Sky Bow III and Strong Bow systems within a multi-layered defensive shield designed to counter ballistic and cruise missile threats, while expanding the country’s Patriot battalion structure.
