DroneShield has introduced RfRecon, a compact handheld system designed to provide battlefield operators with multiple radio-frequency intelligence capabilities in a single device. The platform can detect, identify, locate, and assess signals while incorporating Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Remote ID, ship and aircraft detection, integrated GNSS, and hardware-based security. Its core architecture combines ultra-wideband coverage, direction-finding technology, and signals intelligence capabilities. RfRecon also uses an open architecture and common data formats to facilitate integration with existing networks and operational systems. The handheld design allows RF intelligence functions to be brought closer to frontline users, helping them assess the electromagnetic environment without relying exclusively on larger fixed or vehicle-mounted systems. The system is intended to support detection and analysis of relevant signals across complex operational environments while maintaining interoperability with other technologies. Through RfRecon, DroneShield is effectively packaging several RF sensing and intelligence functions into a portable battlefield tool aimed at improving situational awareness and electromagnetic-domain operations.
