Israel Aerospace Industries has unveiled the LAHAT ALPHA, a next-generation laser-guided anti-tank missile capable of engaging targets over 20 kilometers away. Weighing 25 kg and measuring 2 meters, it is designed for armored vehicles, fortified positions, and fast-moving targets. The system can be launched from ground vehicles or helicopters and uses laser-homing guidance that works in GPS-denied environments. IAI states operators require less than a week of training. The launch reflects global demand for precision munitions that deliver high lethality from safe distances, similar to Rafael’s Spike NLOS and Lockheed Martin’s JAGM.
