India has unveiled its long-term “Defence Forces Vision 2047” roadmap aimed at transforming the country’s military into a more integrated, technology-driven force over the next two decades. The strategy emphasizes joint operations between the army, navy, and air force, modernization of command structures, indigenous defense manufacturing, and adoption of advanced technologies across domains. Backed by rising defense spending and increased support for domestic industry under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the roadmap reflects India’s effort to build self-reliant military capability while adapting to future multi-domain warfare requirements.
