Raytheon has secured a $183.7-million contract from the United States government to provide Patriot air defense system hardware and support services for the United Arab Emirates under the foreign military sales program. The agreement includes the supply of Patriot system kits along with installation, inspection, logistics, and program management services. Work will be carried out mainly at Raytheon’s facilities in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, and the contract is expected to run through early 2031. The funding for the project has been allocated through fiscal year 2026 foreign military sales resources. The Patriot system plays a central role in modern air and missile defense networks, offering the ability to detect, track, and intercept a range of aerial threats including aircraft, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The deal forms part of a broader series of US-approved Patriot sales to allied countries aimed at strengthening regional defense networks and enhancing protection against advanced missile threats.
