Austrian defense manufacturer STI Steyr is competing for one of the country’s largest military vehicle modernization programs by offering its modular LMV-X and LTV-X tactical vehicle family. Designed around common architecture, the platforms support reconnaissance, troop transport, command missions, and future electronic warfare integration while simplifying fleet logistics and long-term maintenance. Their modular construction enables rapid upgrades to accommodate evolving communications systems, sensors, counter-drone technologies, and mission equipment. If selected, domestic production would strengthen Austria’s defense industry, expand local supply chains, and enhance future export opportunities across the European defense market.
