ArmorSource has been awarded a $17.6-million contract to supply 25,000 Advanced Combat Helmet Generation II (ACH Gen II) systems to the US Army, reinforcing efforts to improve soldier survivability and comfort. Deliveries are scheduled through May 2028. The ACH Gen II provides enhanced ballistic and fragmentation protection while significantly reducing weight compared to the legacy Advanced Combat Helmet. Designed to withstand handgun and select rifle threats, the helmet also offers improved resistance to blunt-force impacts and compression forces. Its lighter construction is expected to reduce soldier fatigue during extended operations while maintaining high levels of battlefield protection.
