The increasing use of drones in modern warfare has created an urgent need for effective counter-drone systems. In response to this challenge, SSS Defence has introduced the T-12 Counter-Unmanned Aerial System kinetic kill suite, a fully indigenous solution designed and developed in India. The system combines a portable weapon platform, specialized optics, and dedicated ammunition designed specifically for engaging drones. Unlike electronic warfare systems that attempt to jam signals, the T-12 physically destroys the drone using kinetic engagement. Video demonstrations released by the manufacturer show the system successfully neutralizing a drone at a range of about 90 meters. This capability makes it particularly useful in close-range combat environments where reaction time is extremely limited.
