In an effort to make Brazil its most recent client in Latin America, the Emirati defense company EDGE has brought the ANAVIA HT-100 drone helicopter to the nation.
Representatives of the Brazilian Armed Forces were present as the HT-100’s capabilities were demonstrated at the Army Activities Center in Restinga da Marambaia, Rio de Janeiro.
From system startup and pre-flight checks to takeoff, the autonomous helicopter achieved a 15-minute readiness time during the live demonstration.
Then it performed a complicated flight profile that included circular orbits at low altitude, figure-eight patterns, low-speed maneuvers, and hovering.
Through real-time mapping, the HT-100 also demonstrated its beyond-visual-line-of-sight capabilities and improved situational awareness.
