According to a Wednesday statement, The government-backed Polish Capital Investment Fund (FIK) will provide over 2.4 billion zloty ($662.9 million) to four companies from the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) to expand the manufacturing of 155 mm ammunition.
The financing will enable the businesses to grow, establish new technological lines, and build new infrastructure. This will result in a notable rise in the output capacity of materials and weapons, notably 155mm shells. Zakłady Chemiczne Nitro-Chem will get 113 million zloty to buy technology lines for developing 155 mm ammunition, Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet will get 1.36 billion zloty to increase the manufacturing potential of 155 mm ammunition, Mesko will be given 887 million zloty to boost the production capacity of 155 mm shells, and Zakłady Produkcji Specjalnej Gamrat will be granted 66 million zloty for the construction, installation, and production of base bleeds.
