The Jump 20-X unmanned aerial system (UAS), which AeroVironment, the company that manufactures the US Army’s Switchblade drones, has introduced at IDEX 2025. The Jump 20-X is a “marinized” version of the company’s current Jump-20 vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing uncrewed platform. It is an autonomous, AI-equipped aircraft for maritime operations with cross-domain dominance. The UAS has a flexible and open systems design that enables interoperability with NATO forces through Standardization Agreement-compliant communications, as well as third-party payloads and radios.
