As part of the Future Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft Systems program, Textron Systems’ MK 4.8 Hybrid Quad (HQ) Aerosonde drone has been given to the US Army. The delivery was formally completed through the Department of Defense’s DD-250 procedure, which transferred ownership from the manufacturer to the US government. The US Army FTUAS program team will then conduct new equipment training at the Redstone Test Center to certify instructors and operators, with the course expected to be completed by the end of January.
