The Swedish Armed Forces will receive additional BONUS smart artillery shells under a newly signed contract with BAE Systems, announced this week.
The agreement totals nearly $62 million (SEK 600 million), continuing Sweden’s long-term partnership with BAE Systems Bofors in precision-guided weaponry.
The 155mm BONUS round enhances combat effectiveness by autonomously detecting and striking armored vehicles, ensuring greater accuracy and reduced risk of collateral damage on the battlefield.
