The most recent iteration of the top secret AIM-260A Joint Advanced Tactical Missile (JATM) has been made public by the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). The missile was displayed as part of a portfolio overview given by the Program Executive Office for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons, along with other sophisticated systems like the AIM-9M/X Sidewinder and the AIM-120 AMRAAM. The new image shows that the AIM-260A JATM has a fuselage that is similar to the AIM-120, but with a much bigger rocket motor section, which is probably designed for longer range.
