The U.S. Marine Corps has placed a $42.5 million delivery order with Teledyne FLIR Defense for more than 600 Rogue 1 loitering munitions, part of the Organic Precision Fires-Light initiative. The acquisition equips small tactical units—squads and platoons—with autonomous strike capability traditionally provided by higher-tier assets. The order covers Rogue 1 systems, control stations, and training packages, with initial fielding scheduled within months. Rogue 1 allows rapid deployment, autonomous search, target validation, and either precision strike or recovery if no engagement is needed. The system enhances lethality, responsiveness, and independence in distributed Marine Corps operations.
