FN Herstal has showcased its new EVOLYS machine gun, designed to deliver assault rifle handling with machine gun firepower. Available in 5.56mm and 7.62mm NATO, the EVOLYS offers lighter weight, advanced ergonomics, and sustained firing capability. The 5.56mm weighs only 5.5 kilograms, while the 7.62mm variant reaches 6.2 kilograms, significantly undercutting the weight of legacy systems. Effective ranges extend to 800 meters and 1,000 meters, respectively. The hybrid firing mode enables automatic and semi-automatic fire, while reinforced gas regulation allows reliable suppressor use. FN Herstal emphasized EVOLYS as a lightweight, mission-adaptable solution for modern infantry and special forces.
