The U.S. Air Force continues to expand its MH-139A Grey Wolf fleet with a new Boeing contract for four additional helicopters. Designed to replace the UH-1N Huey, the Grey Wolf delivers improved performance, survivability, and mission flexibility, with significantly higher payload capacity and extended range. Adapted from the AW139 commercial platform, the helicopter supports a wide spectrum of missions, from nuclear security and emergency response to airlift and patrol operations. The growing fleet reflects the Air Force’s emphasis on modernizing legacy systems while improving readiness for both domestic and forward-deployed missions.
