The Air Force has awarded Boeing a $2.4 billion contract for an additional 15 KC-46A Pegasus refueling tankers. This award, covering the 11th lot of tankers, increases Boeing’s worldwide contract total to 168 KC-46s. To date, Boeing has delivered 89 KC-46s to the Air Force since 2019, along with four to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, while Israel is also set to receive four KC-46s starting in 2025. The Pentagon anticipates that the work on these 15 new KC-46s, which are manufactured at Boeing’s Everett, Washington factory, will be completed by the end of June 2028.
