A possible $91.2 million sale of precision-guided weapons to Australia has been given the green light by the US State Department. Canberra will get 54 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems-Alternate Warhead (GMLRS-AW) rounds, as well as telemetry equipment, engineering services, and other associated assistance. Its aim of enhancing national and territorial defense, interoperability with US forces, and efforts to promote industry as a new source of supply will be supported by the planned sale.
