Qatar is expanding its air defense architecture through a new radar acquisition from Thales, covering both medium- and long-range surveillance with the GM200 MM/A and GM400α systems. Designed for rapid deployment and networked operations, the radars will enhance situational awareness across complex air environments. Thales will also provide extensive training and sustainment services over the next decade, ensuring the systems remain fully integrated into Qatar’s national command-and-control framework and capable of countering evolving aerial threats.
