Thales and Navantia have agreed to provide new IFF systems for the Royal Thai Navy, enhancing three vessels as part of a broader modernization plan. Thales will deliver TSA3520 interrogators and TSC4000 transponders, which will be incorporated into legacy radar and command systems to strengthen identification and maritime security operations. Navantia will contribute to the refurbishment of the HTMS Chang landing platform dock. Their cooperation follows earlier contracts that saw Thales supply sensors, mine-countermeasure equipment, and fire-control systems to Thailand’s fleet. The partnership continues to grow, with Thales now set to upgrade the HTMS Chakri Naruebet’s platform management system and Navantia installing advanced combat and surveillance systems aboard the HTMS Chang to improve operational readiness.
