DRDO has approved the LRASSCM program to enhance Indian Air Force strike capabilities. The supersonic missile, likely powered by ramjet technology, will enable long-range precision attacks on land and maritime targets. It will be integrated with the Su-30MKI, allowing safe stand-off engagement. The system builds on BrahMos technology and strengthens India’s indigenous defense capabilities. Trials and validation phases are expected to follow.
