The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has given Saab a deal to provide 22 more CB90 Next Generation combat boats. The order is worth about SEK 900 million in total.
“This order represents a considerable improvement in Sweden’s naval capabilities. Mats Wicksell, the head of Saab’s business area Kockum, states that we are still proud that Saab’s combat boats are helping to protect Sweden.
The fast, all-aluminum CB90 NG, made by Saab’s Docksta shipyard, is able to efficiently move a large number of troops and goods across both shallow and open seas, while also attaining exceptional speed and agility. Due to its lightweight polyethylene lining and safety glass, this ship offers outstanding ballistic and CBRN protection.
