Saab’s latest CV90-related contract will see the company supply its UTAAS sighting and fire-control system under a SEK 314-million agreement with BAE Systems Hägglunds. UTAAS is already widely deployed across Nordic and European CV90 operators and continues to gain adoption among new and modernized fleets. Designed for multi-domain engagement, the system offers stabilized firing while on the move, accurate laser-based ranging, and the ability to counter aerial threats at short range. Its modular design supports integration with modern command-and-control networks and smart ammunition systems, ensuring long-term relevance as battlefield requirements evolve.
