Raytheon has secured a $646-million contract to provide the US Navy with four more SPY-6(V) radar systems.
With this order, Raytheon now holds contracts for 42 total radars to be delivered by 2028. The SPY-6 system supports 360-degree surveillance, capable of tracking multiple threats from missiles to electronic attacks.
Manufacturing takes place at the company’s Andover facility in Massachusetts—a 30,000-square-foot plant optimized for radar production.
The facility is known for its advanced automation, enabling streamlined production and ongoing systems testing.
Raytheon also recently won a $536-million radar contract from the Navy earlier this month.
