The Finnish company Patria has provided new acoustic minesweeping systems to the Royal Norwegian Navy. With the first batch delivered early last year, this completes Norway’s 2021 order of SONAC ACS systems, which cost an unknown sum. The Finnish systems will take over the task of clearing minefields as part of Oslo’s mine countermeasures capabilities after the navy decommissioned its ELMA-AGATE sweep.
