To install a directed energy bomb disposal system on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), Parsons Corporation has partnered with the US Air Force. The initiative is a component of the service’s attempt to update its Recovery of Airbase Denied by Ordnance (RADBO) capabilities, which are made up of laser-equipped vehicles meant to destroy unexploded ordnance in airports and other locations. The Virginia-based firm will provide its flagship Zeus 4 high-energy weapon, which is capable of clearing landmines, general-purpose bombs, and up to 50 different kinds of ordnance, under the partnership.
