The Pakistan Navy has received the fourth Yarmook-class offshore patrol vessel (OPV) from Damen in Constanta, Romania. The Dutch shipyard was given the contract to construct the PNS Yamama in 2020, with the assembly taking place two years later and the launch in 2024. The platform will be deployed to carry out maritime security tasks, such as anti-piracy and other threats, along Islamabad’s international trade routes once it is operational.
