L3Harris Technologies has delivered its three-millionth M734A1 mortar fuze to the US Army, highlighting steady, large-scale production for US and allied forces.
The NATO-compliant M734A1 functions as both a proximity sensor and range-setting device for 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm high-explosive mortar rounds. Its multi-mode design allows adjustable airburst heights to maximize effectiveness across diverse operational scenarios, while integrated safety mechanisms help protect friendly forces and limit unintended damage.
The milestone follows the company’s announcement that roughly 500,000 fuzes were delivered in fiscal 2025—an 80 percent increase over the previous year. Additionally, its Missile Solutions subsidiary is slated to receive nearly $1 billion in investment to advance US solid rocket motor capabilities, with regulatory processes continuing through late 2026.
