Lewis Machine & Tool (LMT) Defense has secured a contract to provide the Swiss Armed Forces with Sturmgewehr 25 assault rifles.The German news agency reports that the contract covers the 5.56x45mm weapon, which is a modification of the Iowa-based company’s Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System – Light, or MARS-L, system. These gas piston-enabled weapons will be available in 12 and 16-inch models.
