Paras Anti-Drone Technologies has secured a 461.9 million rupee ($5.2 million) contract from India’s Ministry of Defense to supply state-of-the-art counter-drone systems. These systems utilize radio frequency jamming and signal disruption technologies to identify and disable unauthorized UAVs operating in strategic zones, including border areas and sensitive security sites. Operating across frequencies from 400 MHz to 6 GHz, the systems can be adapted to counter a wide range of aerial threats in varying conditions. The award reflects India’s proactive approach to enhancing airspace security amid growing incursions along the Pakistan border, where drones have been deployed for reconnaissance, narcotics, and weapons delivery. Anti-drone solutions have also been successfully deployed for high-profile events, including the 2023 G20 Summit and national celebrations, showcasing their utility. This contract supports India’s broader strategy of promoting indigenous defense solutions and aligns with the self-reliance initiative, fostering the growth of domestic defense startups and public-sector undertakings.
