The Pentagon and Lockheed Martin have reached a preliminary agreement for the production of two additional lots (18 and 19) of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter air vehicles. While a handshake agreement is in place, both Lockheed and the F-35 Joint Program Office stated that final terms are still being negotiated. The specific number of F-35s included in the contract and their cost will be announced once the agreement is officially signed.
