For the Cypriot National Guard, Arquus has confirmed a deal to supply Sherpa station wagon cars fitted with Akeron missile launchers. Disclosed in Athens, the initiative includes 12 of the French-made vehicles, each equipped with weaponry capable of launching MBDA’s exclusive warhead. The announcement comes after a trial in Cyprus in September 2022 that tested the firepower of an Akeron-armed Sherpa against targets 2,500 to 3,000 meters (8,202 to 9,843 feet) away in both autonomous and collaborative configurations.
